William Griffith of Hendre

I am looking for the Origin of William Griffith who came to Hendre House Llandeloy in the late seventeenth Century. He may have come from the Meline area. He probably married a John of Caerwen. William died in 1825 or 26. He had two sons, William and Evan. Any help would be appreciated.
