I am not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question but someone may know the answer. Someone may also want to copy this idea. For my children's and grandchildren's history I am doing a page in each of their personal albums, of the year they were born in which I include the national and international events, the music and movies of the year, the wages, the price of a house and a car and groceries, whiteware etc. the fashion - it is a great idea to give to your children and grandchildren. I get many comments on what a great idea it is, I have also included the politics, stamps and currency of their particular year. For my son Tony who was born in 1970 in New Zealand, I have a photo of a 1970 Volkswagon and I did email the agents a while ago and received no answer - can anyone tell me the 1970 price of a new Volkswagon car so that I can complete Tony's page of the year he was born. Robin

Great idea King William !
I seem to recall the AA (Automobile Assn) used to publish tables of new car prices in their magazine - perhaps they can help ?
OR ... major newspapers of the day - especially the Saturday editions which contained lots of advertising for "big ticket" items.
Happy hunting
Lu
