Hi Adrian,
Baptism 15 Oct 1809 Richard Smith son of John and Ann.
Looking back through the Parish Records there would appear to be 2 couples named John and Ann Smith. There is the bap of Henry Smith 25 May 1795 son of John and Ann. I can confirm also the marriage of John Smith and Ann Stiles 23 Nov 1795. They would appear to be a younger couple because of the following baptisms:
24 Jul 1796 Edward son of John (junr) and Ann
6 Jul 1797 Ann Styles Smith dau of John and Ann (jnr)
More baptisms follow:
19 Jan 1800 James son of John and Ann
9 Sep 1803 Jane dau of John and Ann
7 Jun 1807 Nathanial son of John and Ann
Then a burial 23 Jul 1809 John Smith
If there were 2 separate couples (as seems possible), I could not find a marriage in Bratton for the older couple.
