Request lookup in 1871 Census for Louisa Mary Harding born Wotton under Edge about 1867 (1881 census shows her as 14 living with grandparents). I am hoping to find parents and possible siblings.
Cheers Dave

Hi Tati,
Thanks for the lookup Tati. Nothing would surprise me about this family any more I was hoping to find the parents of Louisa but I'm amazed at seeing Mary Jane with her grandparents as well.
I always thought Mary Jane was the daughter of Joseph Harding. There may however be more than one born in the same 12 month period. I suspect Matthew's grandaughter may be the illegitimate daughter of Emma Harding.
May I trouble you to look for Joseph Harding in 1871 (b. about 1844) and his wife Henrietta (also b. abt 1844). Perhaps there is another Mary Jane!!
Cheers Dave
