Hi thanks for that but I do not think it is the right family. I have the following census for 1861:

RG9/2225/67/15

Burtons Court, Saltisford, Parish of St Mary, Warwick

William Ward/31/Silk Hatter Maker/St mary War
Mary/31/Teachborks I think War
William/8/St mary War
John/6/St mary War
Mary Jane/4/St mary War
Sarah Ann/2/St mary War
Elizabeth/2 months/St mary War

God I hope I have the right family Embarrassed

Yes I think it's them if they are the same lodging with the Harvey's in 1851.
What happened to them after 1861?Did William die?

Hi yes that right I think they where lodging with the Harveys. I am guessing they are a relation of Mary, but may be wrong there.

In 1871 to 1901 they are living in Audenshaw, Lancashire.

William and Marys son William had a Son called Albert.

He moved up to North Wales in the early 1900's which is where I live

Hi no thats about it. Thank you very much for all the help.

All I need to learn now is how I go further back. E.g. Who where James and Elizabeths parents and also where and when they where born.

But I suppose they are questions I will learn as time goes by.

Thanks again for all the help and have a good christmas

Kia Ora Haydn!
Greetings from New Zealand!
If you ever link up with WARDS of Alcester 1780s- 1870s and then on to Aston - let me know!

As you go back with each generation follow up on ALL the children with census and BMDs- it's amazing what links you will find!
Happy hunting!
Regards
Marlene

Hi Marlene

Certainly will do. Bit stuck on going back any further than the early 1800's at the mo. But will keep trying.

All the best
