What is the problem with accessing/slowness of rootschat at the moment?
Is it becoming too successful?
Are there any plans to cope with the extra demand?

If it may help narrowing down the issue, I've found in the past few days that navigation speed is very variable - sometimes fine, other times a lot of lagging and hanging while waiting for especially for thread pages to 'open'. I'm in London England with a normally very decent broadband connection.
Hope that helps with diagnostics.
Regards Jonathan

I'm dial up but I threw more coal on the fire and it has been very slow for about an hour and a half. Ok now though and there is more people.
I found google was slow as well so maybe it isn't a rootschat thing?

Trystan - I have the fastest broadband connection currently available and live in North Kent. I have had these same delays for several days now.

My ISP and connection is generally top notch, and have received no alerts from my ISP regarding 'outtages' recently.
This is guesswork, but would say the lagging started about a week ago, maybe a shade less.
It's lagging a bit now, but was seriously lagging earlier on today about 1800GMT.

Maybe 3 days is about right Trystan and my week maybe a shade less was coloured by a bit too much xmas cheer
btw, my last post on this thread hung for about 20 seconds before 'completing' and refreshing. Also hangs badly sometimes when using page refresh on the index page as well as opening new threads.
Cheers J

In Kent with broadband. No problems with anything else today - just rootschat. I actually got a white page come up with a message to say that rootschat was too busy and to try again in an hour - that was when I posted my first message at the top of this thread. I find it's still lagging a bit now - same as Jonathan (I don't mean he's lagging!!).
