Can SKS please look at 1861 census for William Wharton aged 7 born Chesterfield Derbyshire, and tell me what the surname of his grandparents is.
Somehow I don't think is is as transcribed by Ancestry as Cabritap, although I can see it's hard to decipher.

I think you've sorted it out for me. John & Harriet Wharton are in Chesterfield Derbyshire in the 1861, with their other children, while William is staying with his Gabbitas grandparents.
