Please, does anyone have access to the Parish Registers for All Saints Church, Bromsgrove?  I need a marriage look-up for 1897. I can give bride and groom names if you can help.

Thanks for your interest.  What I'm actaully looking for is the grooms father's occupation, but I don't want to have to order the cert. - ideally I need help from someone who has access to All Saints records or perhaps from someone local who could visit the church for me.

If all else fails I realise I'll need to send for the cert.

Hi Graham,

I suspect the Register will have long gone by now...to Worcester Record Office, where it belongs for legal reasons to do with safe (theft and environment)  storage.  If you can't get to the record office The Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints, The Mormons, have a worldwide connection of Family History Centres where you can, for a few pounds (£5.50 GBP earlier this year) arrange to hire the film.  They almost certainly filmed it.  Try http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp?PAGE=library_fhc_find.asp

Using a film of the register you may pick up other family members, baptisms, marriages and burials.  Much more useful that specifically going for one name.
