Can anyone throw some light on Arthur Pegler who married Maria Thorp in June 1841 Bedford. Maria lived 10 Adelaide Sq Bedford according to 1861 census and she was a widow born leighton Buzzard 1823 but I cannot find Arthur Pegler whose occupation was "chemist".They had 2 children Emma Fanny Pegler B1846 and Louisa Jane b 1848/9. I don't seem to find them 1851 census.

Arthur was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Perretti) Pegler, and had plenty of siblings born in Stanmore according to the IGI. Possibly his mother was the link to the Italian Warehouse?
There was also a Louisa Pegler living in Cheltenham, born Acton Middx, in 1851-61. I wonder if there might be a connection?

Hi Tony Charles and Elizabeth are living in Great Stanmore in 1841 with a Francis Pegler nextdoor - I can't see Arthur anywhere in 41, have you found him? Jan
