thanks to all for your help, though I fear I confused Gadget by sending her details about another query I put up. However I think the place name has been solved, however any other help always useful. Thanks to all of you for your efforts.

Thatch/Hatch is the latest one though I did have one about someone in Errol ages ago. The Thatch /hatch one I would really like to solve but it has to be via electoral rolls I think.
