To tropicalj - Thank you so very much for your help. And what a great service you mentioned. I'll certainly look into using it myself.

To Carol8353 - unfortunately I know very little about Cyril Whiteley. His wife was born 1894, so thats the only guesstimation I have. I do not even know whether it was his first marriage or what his occupation was. There doesn't appear to be a Cyril Whiteley born in or around Hull, where he was married, but quite a few in the west riding , unfortunately!!

now  here is  the details of  the death notice for as it appeared in The Advertiser, May 15th, 1985

WHITELEY annie Elizabeth
on May 14 1985 (suddenly) at Jamestown loved mother of Ernie, Elsie, Doug Jean, June and Malcom, Grandmotherof 11 and great-grandmother of six.  Aged 91 yeas - at peace with the Lord, always loved and remembered.


Funeral Notice from  the same paper

Whiteley. The relatives and Friends of  the  late Mrs Annie Elizabeth Whiteley of Jamestown are advised that her funeral will  leave the Uniting Church on  this day  Wednesday 15th May 1985 after a service commencing at 2pm for the Jamestown Cemetery.
