Butcher's of Bromyard
« on: Tuesday 11 December 07 15:29 GMT (UK) »

Does any one have any conection to the Butcher family of Milvern Lane, Bromyard, Worcestershire. The people  i am after are Ethel Maud Butcher b.1891 d.1935 age 52yrs and buried in bromyard cemetery. i dont know her partners  names it could be either Alfred Butcher, who died 1941 age 45 yrs and lived at 7 Ballhurst Bromyard.  the Ballhurst est was built after milvern lane was pulled down before the second w.w.  as part of slum clearance or William butcher of Kirham Gdns. he died 1970 age 72yrs  not sure if they married cannt find any cert for them she moved there about 1918/19 after her husband was kill in 1917. i dont know if there were any Butcher children.
thanks

hi there her married name was brown and her maiden name was broom she was born in twyford norfolk. the address on the C.W.G.C. after her husband died was butcher at milvern lane.  She had had 3 children taken away from her. one went int to a work house in norwich and the other two went for fostering in northwold thetford. id just like to know if she had any more children and her new partners name

fran

i saw the marriage to joseph was at thetford so i thought it might
be your ethel
i wonder when the info on the C.W.G.C was added
this would help give a date for the marriage
