My mother worked at Standard Telephone Compant in New Southgate during the Second World War. She was there when a V1 rocket landed on the factory - she survived ( she will be 85 years old this week), but some of her colleagues did not.
I am wondering if there are any records anywhere about this event . I realise that many reports were censored in the media, but wonder if there could be anything, anywhere. I have Norman Longmates book about V1's which gives several pages about the event.
(A google search shows my item which I sent to the BBC website - Peoples War - a coouple of years ago)
