Balmitchell farm, Slamannan

My most distant ancestor, James Main married Mary Mitchell around 1775; they lived and farmed at Balmitchell, just east of Slamannan. They had two sons, John (my ancestor) and James, who also lived there.  Is there anyone who might know of the history of the Balmitchell farm or how I might go about finding out more about it.
