Hi all
I'm looking for the birth/christening of an Ellen Steeden born c1880 ( my great grandmother) Buckingham,Bucks,  parents ;  Richard Steeden c1855 and Ellen Ridgeway c1855, Buckingham, Bucks.
Sorry its a bit sketchy, but I have only just started on this line and have this information from IGI, also parents of Richard Steeden c 1855 are ;
John Steeden and Amelia (unknown) also from IGI.  Shocked
Any information for marriages, births, deaths, census etc would be greatfully received.  Grin
I'm off to do battle with free BMD for certificate references to order them, but often end up wrestling with this site ( still cant get the hang of it ??!!??)  Angry

This looks like the John and Amelia Steeden who were listed on the IGI .. but no son Richard?

I noticed Richard also had a second name of Daniel?

thanks for all that and yes that was the record from IGI that I saw. Where is Richard  on the census? I know that IGI is not all that reliable but something strange and curious is afoot here.
I havent had any sucess on Free BMD and am wondering , is the information i recieved that the parents of Ellen Steeden where Richard and Ellen is good ?
I think that i need to get hold of Ellen Steeden's birth certificate !!!!
so its off toFree BMD to do battle again.

I found no record on free BMD for an Ellen Steeden born Buckinghamshire 1880. I now that she married a George Frederick Rogers( born 1880,Hendon,Middx)  but not when or where. There first child was born 1900 at Leighton Buzzard ( must check multi-map to see where that is ?) and after that all children where born Hendon Middlesex.
This is proving to be a difficult one !  Angry
