The parents of your Caroline are how old in 1841?  Ages were usually rounded down to the nearest five years, so they could be up to four years older than stated.  Was Caroline their first child?

Am I correct in thinking that you believe a John White married Jane Biddle and they are the parents of your Caroline?  If this is so, they do not seem to have married in Hampshire.  I can't find them at the moment.

I cannot find an Elizabeth Cole baptised anytime in Binsted.

Hi,
I had info from another researcher years ago I've since lost touch with so was trying to dig more around the possibilities she'd stated with not much 'source' info to go with.  (See Emma 1851 below as well)

But really what I know is:
Jane BIDDLE was chr 2 Mar 1813 Kingsley, Hampshire. She's the one I'm after.
Can you see any possible marriage for her at all?

I can't seem to find her in 1841. There's a couple of her younger siblings I can't locate in 1841 either that I do know were alive then. I've posted for them in other posts to no avail.

Jane's not with her parents in 1841 they are with another sibling Ellen BIDDLE aged 11 and an Emma BIDDLE aged 3 (not sure who Emma belongs to at this stage - seems to be too big age gap to belong to same mother and mother would have been 51 so seems a bit odd.)

anyway in 1851 that Emma BIDDLE is age 13 born Worldham Hamps and with a Harriet Biddle age 8 listed as born Lambeth Surrey (Lambeth  is where Jane's brother George was living in 1851 but they seem too young to have children that age so don't think they could belong to George and Sarah BIDDLE)

In 1851 Emma 13 and Harriet  8 are lodging at William and Mary WHITE's household  with their daughter Ann White age 26 and another lodger John CHATKRAFT age 5 b Kingsley.

Janes brother George BIDDLE was living in Lambeth Surrey in 1851 and in 1861 is listed with niece Harriet who was age 18. East Worldham, Hamps but have found no sign of Emma BIDDLE after 1851 census.
HO107/1679 Folio 299

Sorry to be so confusing maybe I should have done a new post but it's kind of related and then having name WHITE pop up again I thought may be a chance of a link somehow.

Did I totally confuse you now? Embarrassed

More than likely.  We've gone from Caroline White to Jane Biddle and I'm not quite sure how.  Undecided

Marriages of Jane Biddle in Hampshire before 1837:

Jane Biddle & Reuben Main 7 Jun 1834, Portsea St Mary (1851 says this Jane born Portsmouth)
Jane Biddle & William Pizzey 31 Jul 1833 Portsmouth St Thomas

A Jane Biddle was buried in Titchfield 29 Apr 1831 aged 17 - wrong end of the county though.
