I wonder if anyone can help me find the parents for  Albert Valentine Gibbard he was born 21 Nov 1918 in Brackley and died 1980 in Brackley. He married Frances Marion R Haines in 1938 Brackley, Oxfordshire. She was born 1920.

Any help on finding his parents would be great.

Cannot seem to locate him on the GRO indexes (last quarter 1918 or first quarter 1919) - how sure are you of spelling of name, date and location?

Oops!!!  he was born May 1918 I have his birth & Marriage & death details and I know his mother,s maiden name was Mold, but that is all I have on this man.

Do you have the birth and/or marriage certificates?  These would give father's name and occupation, which might enable him to be found on the 1901 census.

Is it possible that he was ALFRED nor Albert,  I have found the following in Free BMD

Births Jun 1918   
Gibbard  Alfred V  Mold  Banbury  3a 1645   


He appears to have had the following siblings,  there could be other before 1912 but the mothers maiden name isn't shown in the indexes so I can't be sure


Births Dec 1912   
Gibbard  Eileen E,  Mold  Banbury  3a 2123   

Births Sep 1915  -
GIBBARD  Evelyn B,  Mold  Banbury  3a 2037   

Births Jun 1921 
Gibbard  David J,  Mold  Banbury  3a 2166   

Births Dec 1923   
Gibbard  Harold P,  Mold  Banbury  3a 1751   

Then I found this marriage which is looking likly

Marriages Sep 1903   
Gibbard  Arthur    Banbury  3a 2170   
MOLD  Elizabeth Ann     Banbury  3a 2170
