Im in Australia researching my direct line of CORNELL from sampford/fichingfield/great dunmow essex
Have a marriage of my ggggrandfather HENRY CORNELL to a Mary WRIGHT(She was listed as a widow on marriage) on 8 dec 1805 in Great Dunmow
Looking for either Please on 1841/1851 Census
Henry was born in 1781 in lil Sampford
Nothing much on Mary tho, what her maiden name was before she married Henry Cornell, or her birth date etc'So any help on her too would be much appreciated , who the WRIGHT was she married etc
Hoping if they werre still alive on censuses might give some info

The only Henry Cornell I could find on 1841 census were both born about 1791.

Little Bardfield
Henry Cornell  50 Miller  Essex
Emma              20           Essex
Sabbot?          10            Essex


Bridge Row Thaxted
Henry Cornell  50  Ag lab  Essex
Ann                  40             Essex
Joseph             20 Ag lab   Essex
Thomas            15  Ag Lab  Essex
Samuel            15   Ag lab   Essex
James               10  Ag lab   Essex

Both Thaxted and Lt Bardfield are a few miles from Gt Dunmow. Perhaps you may recognise other names that will help identify the correct Henry. There is no Henry born abt 1781 in Lt .Sampford on 1851 census.

Yes i think the First Henry maybe the one in Lil Bardfield as he did have a Daughter Emma born circa 1818 Married i Think a James Milbank and a Daughter Ann Married William PHILPOTT My line, Born Great Sampford
No idea who that Sabbot 10 u listed was tho

Glad to help. No I don't know what Sabbot is meant to be either! It could be Tabbot but that doesn't make sense to me at all. Huh
