Request a lookup in the 1851 Census for Matilda Drake born about 1832 in Romansleigh, Devon. She is still unmarried in 1851 and the following year marries Richard Chapple (see previous post).

Hi Tazzie, thank you for the prompt reply. I had hoped to find her living with her family so I guess I'll have to re-post for the 1841. It was most interesting to find her as a schoolmistress and adds some well needed background information.
