I am trying to find the parents and any siblings of Richard Chapple, born about 1824 in Chittlehampton, Devon. In 1851 he was working as a porter in the Union workhouse in South Molton and he guess he met his wife to be, Matilda Drake, there  They married 1852.

Lots of other Chapple names in Chittlehampton in 1841 inc. a William & Mary found by Hepburn. No Richard at home.
