Hello,
This is the first time I have needed to come to a Scottish Board. I wish you all the season's greetigs.
I am looking for Ann Wilson born c.1826 in Kirkcaldy Fifeshire who emigrated to Australia and married my Great, Great Uncle there in 1850. I would like to find her date of birth and her parents.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful,

Hi,
Ann Wilson married John Wise (my Great Great Grand Uncle), in 1850. She was born in Kirkcaldy Fifeshire in 1826 (from the marriage registry). John died in 1850 and she remarried Robert Mc Indoe Robertson in 1855 in Adelaide.

Seasons greetings.... The IGI lists 3 Ann Wilsons born in Fife in 1826. 2 born in Abbotshall - adjacent to Kircaldy.
You may want to check it out to see if any of the parents names were passed down as middle names. Not trying to teach you to suck eggs. Are you aware of any siblings of Ann, or names of your Anns chldren? Regards, Steve :O)
"Abbotshall parish lies on the Firth of Forth, bounded by Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn, Auchtertool, Auchterderran and Dysart. It is about 4 miles long by 2.5 miles broad. The great majority of the inhabitants live in Linktown, a burgh of regality under Colonel Ferguson of Raith. It is part of the parliamentary burgh of Kirkcaldy and forms a continuation of it. The small village of Chapel is also in the parish. The parish shares fully in the trade and manufactures of Kirkcaldy. In the Linktown, there is a gas work, a pottery, a brick and tile work, some hundred of hand looms, a sail canvas manufactory, a linen bleachfield, a dye works, spinning mills and a number of corn mills. Hi Steve,
Not having a very good morning having looked a the IGI Batch numbers for Fifeshire and Family Search I can find nothing for Ann. It's probably me!
Her Father's name was Robert and she had 2 sons William and Arthur both born in Australia. She went on to have 2 daughters with her 2nd husband and they were named Mary Ann and Annie Augusta Emily.
Can you tell me where exactly you found the 3 X Ann's? Thanks for your interest,

I have found them in Abbotshall and have traced the parents further back. I shall now try to find out when Ann or Ann and family went to Australia. I reckon after 1843 but before 1850 as Ann married then in Australia,
