Looking for ROE in Lowestoft

Hello

Harry Sparrow Bence Roe was born 30/07/1847 in Lowestoft.  His mother was Harriet Elizabeth Roe.  I believe that she may have died in 1850.  So what would have happened to Harry?

Could he have been living with a relative in 1851/61?  Harriet was the youngest of the family.  Her siblings may not have wanted her illegimate child.  Or would he have been put in an orphanage?

Harry was living in Tranmere, Cheshire  in 1871 with the occupation of engineer.  He married a German girl, Frederika Geyer in 1870.

I would be grateful for any help in tracking Harry's movements.
