Information on John Cobb please

Just wondering if anyone could help me with some information regarding John Cobb from Guyhirn area?

I think he was born in 1779 ( I know he died in 1838 aged 59, so I carried out the reverse calculation ) and married Amy or Amey Jackson in 1806.

I am struggling to find out where he lived or who his parents were.

He and Amy/Amey had six children Charles, John, Jacob ( died aged 2 ), Ann, Ann ( died aged 2 ) and Phebe. They lived in the Wisbech St Mary/Guyhirn area.

Any snippets of information would be really appreciated. Many thanks Steve.

I have search IGI and BVI and drawn a blank. I have found the following

John COBBS born C1841 at Wisbech age 67, Publican
Frances his wife also 67 born at Wisbech
Amelia COBBS age 25, unmarried, born Wisbech
Pheobe COBBS age 2 Grand Daughter born Wisbech

From 1881 Census

RG11/1694/89/18

further to the above:
1841 Census HO107/78/26
John age 25 Publican, Francis 25, Amy Ann 4, Pheobe 2. All living at Murrow

1851 Census HO107/1766/172/1 still at Murrow
John age 37 is now a Farm Labourer, Frances 36, Pheobe 4, Susanne 9, John7, Charles 5, Hannah 2.

1861 Census RG9/1047/81/1
John noe has a Beer House age 47, Frances 46, Amelia 6, Francis 2.

1871 RG10/1614/92/1

John is 58 and the Beerhouse is named as the Three Pigeons, Frances 56, Susannah 29 unmarried, Jane 14, Francis 12, and a William Daines, nephew age 7 born Camden Town Middlesex, is this the wife's maiden name?

Thanks for those two replies Indaloman.

Yes I am familar with the information you list. I do not know whether Daines is John`s wife`s maiden name as I can not trace a marriage for him. I do know his first born child Amy Ann had the Mother listed as Anna.

Phoebe, Susanna, John W, Charles, Hannah, Amelia, Jane and Francis all had Mother listed as Frances. Have visited John`s gravestone and Frances is buried there with him.

However this John Cobb is John and Amy/Amey Cobb`s son.
