Looking for info on The Gibb's , Harper's and Harvey's from the Auchinleck area.
Charles Gibb b.1835 in Auchinleck married Jane Harper b 1837 Auchinleck.
Son, Robert Gibb b1859 Auchinleck married Agnes Harvey 1859 midhellar Farm Sorn
son Andrew Gibb 1891 Sorn married Ellen Craig.
would appreciate any other info on these families

Do you need 1841 and 51 census for Charles? A probable marriage entry for parents Robert and Christina (Christian) Samson is also on IGI.
If you need them l.m.k. and I can post details tomorrow night (from Ancestry) if no one else does so before then.

Hello Liz,
Jane Harper, you mentioned as born 1837, Auchinleck, well she states in the 1861 census that she was born in New Cumnock.
1861. census index for Auchinleck,
Charles Gibb, age 25 years, born Auchinleck,
Jane Gibb, age 23 years, born New Cumnock,
Andrew Spence, age 3 years, born Auchinleck,
Robert Gibb, age 1 years, born Auchinleck.
The child Andrew Spence, age 3 years, was born to parents David Spence, and Jane Harper, 11/Nov/1857. Auchinleck, Ayr.
It looks as if Jane Harper, may have been married before.

Hello Liz,
I take it you have the parents of Charles Gibb, and Jane Harper, from their marriage certificate, this will give you the information for finding them on the earlier census.
