My forefinger and wrist are just recovering from deleting nearly all the ticks on the Search Rootschat page individually. When I got to the bottom of the page I saw the little "check all" box and discovered that this could have been used to delete all the ticks and just enter the few I wanted to keep.
Would it not be possible to place this box at the head of the page instead of at the foot, where it is visible only after all the unticking has been done? Also I find the label "check all" a little misleading, and only really understood its function when I clicked on it out of curiosity. All the boxes are already ticked/checked when I open the page.

Been there, done that, made a request ages ago that both the "check all" box and search button could be duplicated at the top as well as the bottom.
Maybe if more people request this amendment could be incorporated?

I'll add my name to the list, if it's of help. It is a bind to scroll all the way down to the check box. Maybe the default could be unchecked

Good thinking .. it took me ages to find that box too?
There is so much information on the page it would be brilliant if someone could tidy it up a bit? Plus if the county names could be written in bold it might help.
Yorkshire (North Riding) Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Offers Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests Yorkshire North Riding Resources Completed Yorkshire (North Riding) Look up Requests
Or something similar?
One heading per county would mean you wouldn't have to have either Yorkshire or North Riding written so often .. once would surfice?

Hi All
Thank goodness I'm not the only one who has had problems with this. I found all your suggestions very helpful and practical, too. Certainly having the unchecked boxes set as default would be a good start.

surprising it hasnt been done given the recent 'tuning' of the site to eliminate resource-hungry processes.
Can we have the feature back now

Can we have the feature back now Slow down !! we can't be too greedy all at once. Let's just work on begging for one thing at a time, in fact we might even be a bit previous with this request since Trystan is still working on the websites.
Maybe this will be a request for Bob anyway - please, pretty please Bob?

Got used to not having the stats and seeing what people were doing and since they've gone the site is much faster but the search facility is NO 1 on the list.
Echoing Mary - please Trystan and Bob
