Hi Pennine,
This is a toughie, but purely because the lady is obviously above some sort of path/promenade and there is a hill behind her I'm guessing it's Scarborough, Brid being a bit on the flat side,  but I could be wrong.

Hi Pennine

I don't know Bridlington well enough but I do know Scarborough and I can't think of any location in Scarborough that this fits in with.  Could be wrong though.

Best wishes

I wondered if it could be Filey at the bottem of the Ravine where it meets Royal Parade with the cliff at the back leading up to the golf coarse?

I forgot to say the slope beneath looks like the concrete slope to the beach at the Primrose Valley end of Filey. Does anyone know?

My first instinct was that it was Filey but I thought the choice was Brid or Scarborough!  Cheesy

I think you could be right.

Best wishes

Thank you for that confirmation Ticker. I am dealing with a 95 year old lady here and as you would expect her memory is hazy. I am trying to rely on my knowledge of the area which is probably not as good as yours.
Thanks for your input.

Hi Pennine

I've been trying to find a photo of where I think it might be in Filey.  The best I can manage is http://www.fileybay.com/misc/fileybay.html - see the area at the bottom left of the photo.

Best wishes

Hi Ticker I think it is further on towards Primrose Valley than that. Your photo shows where the kids paddling pool is at the bottom of Crescent Hill. I am thinking of  where the Corner Cafe is at the bottom of the ravine which leads down from Station Avenue and Glen Gardens. Unfortunately I do not have a present day photo. Thanks for your trouble anyway.

Hi Ticker I think it is at the bottom of St. Martins Ravine but I cannot find any pictures on line about it. Leads down to the sea from West Avenue. Hope that helps a bit.
