Please can anyone help me?

My descendent John Shave married Ann WELLSPRING in Dorchester. She was born 24th May 1812.
I recently acquired the marriage certificate but it gives Ann's father as Nathaniel? This contradicts every other piece of evidence I have so far discovered in that Ann's parents were  William Wellspring b) 1766 and Mary Vincent
I know their were several Nathaniel Wellsprings around that area but I am now in a quandry!!!

i can see baptisms for children of a nathaniel wellsprings in dorset but slightley earlier around the 1770-1790 mark.
i take it this is the one you have for ann?
all baptised fordington dorset to parents william wellspring and mary-
mary bapt 23rd april 1797
william bapt 2nd sept 1798
joseph bapt 19th june 1803
james bapt 8th dec 1805
john bapt 20th march 1807
[b][/b] ann bapt 24th may 1812

Thank you for looking. It appears that your info and mine do match. However, it still leaves me with the situation of WHY IS NATHANIEL down as the father on Ann Wellsprings marriage certificate. I am wondering if he was in fact the Grand father!
There is a Nathaniel Wellspring christened 1/1/1767 who died 1856. He married an Elizabeth (Betty). I wonder if they had a child William who married Mary Vincent but died before there daughter got married. Would explain a lot!
