I believe my ancestor Major Charles Jones was born in the Clare/ Sudbury area in 1783. he was married to the niece of Provost of Eaton and was a relative of the Lord Braybrooke of the time . Unfortunately i don't know her name . he was remarried by 1818.
if you are wandering thru the graveyards as we do could you take a note of any of this likely name s.
I think his cousin / uncle was a Jones of Woodhall which is in Long Melton > the Jones may have owned Ballington Grove .
