Hi can anyone please help ,I have found the baptism of mary topping born 1823 in wigton on the IGI father joseph mother elizabeth but no maiden name for elizabeth ,so I am looking for a marriage for joseph topping and elizabeth one of the daughters was ellenor born 1815 wigton so I think it would be around then ,also after a year of searching I am still looking for a marriage for mary topping to a william taylor in between 1841 to 1846 they were living in wigton in 1851 maybe she was married twice

There were TOPPINGs married at Gretna - but sadly to different partners.

There were other places in Scotland where people went to get married too.

One of my Wigton ancestors married at Gretna (twice!).

Hi thanks for looking, I think I am going to give up on these marriages the toppings and taylors I just cannot find them I have had no problems with the rest of my family tree found certificates and parish records and bought them
