Hi Jackie

I cant see them at first glance and ive got to go out now but according to the original image on the 1881 the name looks more like Weston than Wesson.

I will look again when i come back.

Jane

What was Ann/ie maiden name ?

HI Jackie
I guess this is Annie in 1871 this is where the SPENCER comes from in her name at time of Marriage.

RG10/3584  10  14

Will J Spencer   age 40  Head  Mason  Born Derbyshire
Martha Spencer age 43 Wife   Born  Leic

See you had no success with the same request back in October 2006!

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,186915.msg913549.html#msg913549

Did you check out the death of Charles Wesson in 1887 and marriage of Annie Wesson in 1889 that you mentioned on that thread?

Like Pughy, I can't find Annie in Belper in 1881 yet. Can you give the entry please, it might help.

Hi All

I have looked and I carnt see him, but what is a bit confusing is that the only Charles Wesson born Leicestershire, is a Charles Thomas Wesson, born 1867, and by the looks of things died 1867.

In 1871 they are down as Weston

Thanks to all for help + interest.

1881 census Kiln Lane Belper RG11/3413  F.47  P.4

Annie Williams 19 boarder     Born Manchester Lancs.
(I know this is wrong birthplace, but her aunt who she lived
with in 1871 is still living in Kiln Lane)

It is possible that this could be Charles Wessons death
in 1887 Leicsh.age 28(born 1867?) + also this 2nd marr.
for Annie 1889 Leicsh. to either Arthur Palmer or George
Kitchener.

Found Arthur Palmer..

1891 Evington Leicsh
Arthur Palmer 27        Leicsh.
Ann                 26         ......
Thomas           1         Evington

Could this be Annie? age?

Jackie,

How do you know it is the same Annie, when the birthplaces are so radically different?

Have you got the death cert for Charles? As we can't seem to find him yet in 1891, it would seem a fair probability that this is your man.

what is a bit confusing is that the only Charles Wesson born Leicestershire, is a Charles Thomas Wesson, born 1867, and by the looks of things died 1867.

I just checked this out, and it seems that at that time Redmile was in the Grantham Reg. District. I can't see a Charles Wesson born there at the appropriate time (but have only looked on free BMD.
Have you got the birth registration details Jackie?

There's this om FreeBMD..

Charles Thomas Wesson March qtr 1867 Leicsh.

In 1881 with parents Wlm + Bessie.(only one I could find,
whose age fits with marr.info)

Have found on IGI index info re.Charles Wesson born Red-
mile (bapt + death) but is a submitted record(states Wlm+
Bessie-Betsy as parents though)
