and he would be whose son/ sibling / father?

how old would this person be?

what other information do you already hold about them?

what else are you hoping to uncover. be specific...

What resources have you already used? It may be that you will have to underake some personal preliminary searches before we could help..

he certainly doesn't appear in the 1950/1955/1960 telephone books for example...

 Smiley :)we know they lived in the village but  as to were still unkown as we were told 221 the green but was told there was no 221 but they didn't have Nos then but also told ashby rd markfield

Was it recorded at his birth registration?
Freebmd is fairly complete c 1900. Have you looked there?

Same one I found Pels, there's also a Jun Qtr1906 birth Joseph Allan Cooper - that's up to 1917 in Leicestershire.
