Hi Kath,
When you have time could you confirm an IGI Gt Waltham baptism for me please?
Josias Barnard/Bernard bap 2 Apr 1597 the son of Johannis, found on batch # C043191.
There's a pretty good chance he might be the ancestor I found in your Barnston transcripts, the Josias of Gt Dunmow who baptised 4 children at Barnston between 1630 & 1640. I checked out Gt Waltham marriages on M043191 but no sign of him, so it's looking good.
Regards

Hi Kath, Thanks for Josias and more, I'm very grateful indeed, it was an interesting exercise to compare the IGI's version of events, most of the dates are one year plus to the PR's, some of course completely out. Tomorrow I'll put Josias and siblings on a family group sheet and put it in the "possible ancestors file until I'm able to check out Gt Dunmow.
How would I manage without you!
Regards

Thanks for the offer Kath but if the fiche is difficult to read then most likely so are the originals and I don't think it fair in those circumstances to ask you to spend too much time on my ancestors. Also I need to check Gt Dunmow PRs to see if Josias married Martha there before I can accept Josias as ancestor.
If you don't mind you could check Gt Waltham burials for me please, to make sure he didn't die before 1630, (year of birth for first child), so that I can be sure he was around to marry Martha. There is no hurry so perhaps leave it until you have a check for someone else!
Regards & goodnight.

Hi, again Kath,
Read some of your replies, and just wondered if there had been any progress with my request on page 1? I feel mean for posting this, because you work so hard, but I know even superstars miss the occasional message. No hurry.

Thank you for finding all these names for me, Kath. Can I just check with you that the name Sarag is a typo for Sarah? (daughter of Thomas and Anne Pullen 24/2/1678) I'm hopeful some of the HORSENAILEs tie in, anyway.
