Possible spouses are Alexander Kirby or William Laxton

wondering who else is there looks like wife Elizabeth and a Mary Ann at least.

Sorry haven't responded to these - didn't receive any notifications - very strange
Right - back to 1841 - the parents are NOT with the children - they are with a Kidd family and this name cropped up back on page 1 of this thread on the 1861 census so there is a very strong connection.
Perhaps these are Elizabeth Ryder's parents

David Kidd 21 Wheelwright
Catherine Rider 8

Elizabeth 4
Hephzibar 2 (under female column)
The Kidds are recorded as born in Cambs
The Riders are recorded as born out of County
They are all in same building but with seperate enumeration marks so they are 2 families in same dwelling

Did you mean maybe James and Catherine Kidd were the grandparents? Or having different numbers would that seem otherwise?
I found a child William Kidd (that would fit into the family born William Kidd Ryder mar qtr 1841 and died dec 1841 St Ives so that's another connection to the KIDD family.
If John and Elizabeth Ryder (says they're parents on 1851) to the 4 kids wonder where they are in 1861?
I haven't got their daughter Elizabeth in 1861 either but she married in 1859 so would be Elizabeth WIMPRESS in 1861.

yeah meant to say wonder where John and ELizabeth were in 1841. But after that last post I think I better double check I haven't got them already.
