Where Can I find old Pictures?

As it says I am really interested in finding what Sanvey Gate, Craven Street, Northumberland Street looked like before they were demolished as the majority of my partners family lived in these streets in St Margarets at several ponts in time.

Whether online or otherwise, where is good to look?

Some great pictures there but nothing of Sanvey gate etc in St Margarets Leicester.

Ive been there and virtually nothing is left except Number 54 I think. My relatives lived at no 52!!!! So at least its given me the idea.

Anyone any more ideas?

 I know of a couple of sites you can try for your old photo's of Sanvey Gate.
One is http://www.crosbyheritage.co.uk/event/street-names-of-leicester/           Colin does organized walks around leicester. when you get to his site there is a link at the top to ask Colin. He will do his best to help you.

Also you could get in touch with the Leicester Mercury. Which has a Mr Leicester page they have  old photo's in, also people asking for information on past places there has been a few memories recently on Sanvey Gate
