Baptism Request please Sandiacre..

Hi
I am looking for George Lester who according to his marriage banns was from the parish of Sandiacre..
Im hoping you guys & girls may be able to locate a baptism for him c1770-1790...apoligies as im unable to narrow the date down as I have just found the info from Notts Archives..

Hi there

This may not be the right one, but Sandiacre is close to the Notts border, I checked the Notts FHS baptism records and there is a George Lester, father John , mother Elizabeth baptised 15 April 1784 in Wilford (6 miles from Sandiacre). It could be that he was living in Sandiacre Parish when George married, but was born elsewhere.

Also in Wilford is a sibling John baptised 24 May 1786. good luck with your research

Thanks very much for that as I was previously informed he was born in Wilford...yes your theory could possibly be correct on he was living in the parish at time of marriage...I always thought that they stated where you were born ....
