Yes, but we haven't seen the 1891 census return for william. Are there 2 williams in 1891, 1 in brigham and 1 in flimby?  Help Geoff!

As I said on the first page, there are several suspects born c1873

Looking at the 1891 I see (ages and birthplaces)
18 Penrith of John and Ellen
18 Maryport of Thomas and Jane (in Co Durham) ... 1881 also says Maryport
18 Penrith (in London)
18 Keswick (in Borrowdale)
17 Ellenborough of Alexander and Martha
16 Whitehaven of William and Jane
20 Harrington of James and Maria
19 Workington (in Richmond Yorks)
21 Maryport of Robert and Elizabeth (in Hedleyhope, Durham) ... 1881 says Ireland

Without a marriage cert, there's too much guessing  Huh

Thats the only problem i cant find a marriage for William and Sarah,i have sent of for my g grandmothers birth cert,i should get that soon i hope as i have got one today which i ordered at the same time.

Thanks for all your help guys,i think William's mom was called Elizabeth and she was from Ireland.
