Graveyards
« on: Friday 18 July 08 09:40 UTC (UK) »

I am hoping someone may be able to help me find the graveyard where my Grandmother is buried.  She died in 1934 at 33rys old, my dad was not yet 2yrs old.  I had always thought she had bee buried in Dublin, but after meeting with an elderly Aunt I have found out she is buried in or near Newbridge.  All my Auntie could tell me is that the graveyard is by the Liffey and near a children's hospital or Hospice which has connections with Paul Newman (donations?).

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.  My Grandmothers name was Margaret Byrne nee Mooney and she died about the Twentieth March 1934 (can't quite make out the day, bad writing).

Thanks

Hello margnip,

Paul Newman's place is Barretstown Castle near Ballymore Eustace.

Thanks Christopher, that narrows it down.

Great web site, looks like a great place for the kids and their families.

There is no Mooney headstone in Ballymore Eustace cemetery.
There are a couple of Byrne headstones;
Catherine (Swordlestown)
Thomas (bro)
Theresa (w)

Jack Byrne (Ballymore Eustace)
Amelia(w)
Christopher.
