Birth of ANN SHERET
« on: Saturday 05 January 08 20:57 UTC (UK) »

It's been suggested to me by the Montrose chat people that someone here might be able to help in my search for this lady. She was my g/grandmother.
Ann Sheret born 1836 ? St Cyrus Father William Sheret, mother Margaret Dundas.  Two siblings Helen and Andrew born later and both births and christenings confirmed.
Ann Sheret was noted on 1851 census to have been born in St Cyrus.  Helen and Andrew both born Montrose.
Any help with this one would be most appreciated.

If you are trying to confirm that the parents of Ann Sheret born c.1836 are William Sheret and Margaret Dundas there is a marriage on 22 Jun 1860 at Montrose between Alexander Baird and Ann Sheret.  The index of deaths on ScotlandsPeople records the death of an Ann Baird nee Sheret aged 53 at Montrose in 1888.
It might be worth obtaining a download of her death certificate from SP to discover if  her parents are as above.

Thanks so much for that info.  I have the confirmation of the marriage of Ann Sheret and Alexander Baird but hadn't known of her date of death so thanks for that info.  I'll try SP for the death cert.
Appreciate your help.

This morning I've tried to get this info from Scotlands People and despite trying a number of searches, no results came up for the death of this woman.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong in the search but I tried between 1880 and 1895 in all areas putting in all info including mothers maiden surname.
