Being Devonshire, I wonder if they were on their way out of the country at the time, which is why we cannot find him.

Tried for ages this afternoon to find ANYTHING, but failed miserably.  As you can see.

Spent much of late this afternoon cleaning up the water damage from a minor flood under out house.  Fared better than my boss though.... our 20m indoor teaching pool was inundated with soil and grass when a retaining wall collapsed under all the water and slipped into the pool.  Said pool being enclosed by large roll up blind thingys.  Needless to say tomorrow I will be teaching in the 25m outdoor pool.

Never cancel swimming..... unless there is lightning nearby.  Rain isn't a problem... we're wet already. Tongue

Fingers crossed from a fine clear Friday.... we have a swim squad trip over to Stradie planned.

I spent all afternoon trying to search on this stupid laptop and like you, Karen, didn't really find anything. I did see Thomas Turner who married Mary Miles on the 1851 Census - with some of their children.
HO107/1694/130/ 17

I also found a William Turner born 1853 Battersea in 1901.....but whether he is the right William Turner I have no idea.
