Hi all,

Perhaps your collective fine minds can find this one...

My mother is adamant that there is a connection between her dad's family and a family living in Trowbrige in about 1900 called Flower or Flowers.

She says that her dad had cousins who were Flower or Flowers...try as I might, I've not been able to find any concrete connections beyond what I've got below...

Her dad was Alfred William Henry Rose, born 1902 in Beckington, Somerset.  His parents were Henry William Rose (b 1870, Lullington, Somerset) and Caroline Matilda Abbot (b 1875).

The Rose family had pretty much been in Lullington as far back as I can trace, although they do seem to have some connection with Trowbridge, various members of the family lived there from time to time, and some died there...

My mom seems to think that the Flower/s connection is on the Abbott side, although I've not been able to find it - the Abbotts originated in Dorset and moved to Lullington in the 1880's...

Anyone who knows about the Flower/s family of Trowbridge got any ideas?  I've got photo's of Elsie Flowers and her husband taken in 191? which may be of interest also...
