Hi All,
I am having a hard time finding my 2nd gt gran Eleanor Hill b1830, Whitby in the 1841 census.
I believe her parents were Robert Hill & Eleanor from IGI. IGI also suggests that there are two siblings, William b1825 and Elizabeth b1828.
She married John Caswell in 1848. The marriage was registered in Stockton, Durham. They are living in Middlesbrough in 1851.
The 1837 Poor law Valuation of Whitby does show a Robert Hill living in a property that sounds big enough to hold a family this size.

P.S. Eleanor goes by the name of Ellen in 1851 but she is Eleanor in 1861. She died in 1866.

Thanks Tazzie, a fair fit. Eleanor is the right age and dad is Robert. Perhaps Robert married a second time. The gap of 4 years between her and Rachel supports that.
Perhaps there are some other possibles.
There's definitely a family connection with Stockton on Tees.
