i am interested in the hem(p)stock family of collingham, nottinghamshire.

i have so uncovered John Hempstock b. c. 1776 at collingham. he married martha taylor b. c. 1788 at collingham on 12th december 1809 at collingham

they had mary hempstock b. c. 1812, collingham who married henry spencer from norfolk

any info gratefully received

Hi,
I've found John Hemstock's burial details:
Buried on 9th December, 1843
South Collingham Parish
Abode: North Collingham
Aged 66 years.
A start, at least!

Thanks very much for the info on John. At least this helps with the fact that he doesn't appear to have moved about and stayed in Collingham. Unlike his son in law who was also a revenue officer and appears to have moved every five minutes!
