W.H.Hutchinson Grocers shop. The Meadows

Hi,

Does anybody remember this Grocers shop at 31 Wilersley St, The Meadows? (I believe he also had a milk round for the Meadows area too.) 
Can anyone tell me anything about it, or does anyone have any old photos of that street...or even better the shop!?

Any help much appreciated!

Hi,
I haven't found a picture of the shop you mentioned, but there is a photograph of a pub called The Nags Head Public House on the corner of Willersley Street and Cromford street on the following site:

If you're interested in Nottingham and the surrounding area you will find this site a real treat.
Also, The Nottingham Evening Post produce a magazine  (every month) called Bygones - this magazines has many photographs of old Nottingham with people's recollections - they also appeal for information on people's behalf.

Thank you so much for your help, and I do look at the Old Meadows site, but I will look at the Picture The Past one!

In fact he is H.W Hutchinson and not as I listed him... all these relatives it's a lot to take in!

Hello Willow,

I was just being nosey and reading peoples questions when I saw your ref to the Meadows sites. Just to say 'thank you' for those websites. My father was brought up in the Meadows in the thirties and I have ordered Meadows Remembered for him. I didn't know those sites were there.
