Was looking for My Samuel Tidmarsh from Warwickshire when I found this in "The rambler in Worcestershire, or Stray notes on churches and congregations 1851" on google books (great resource by the way)
I thought it might be of interest to rootschatters - theres a couple of candidates in the 1851 census.
"The tithes of Abberton have been commuted for £173. 10s., and there is a glebe of two acres and a half. The rent of two acres of land in the parish is applied to the repair of the church. Mr. Laslett is the patron; rector, Rev. F. Best; clerk, Samuel Tidmarsh. The latter functionary, I am told, has brought up two families honestly and respectably, and the other day his nineteenth child was presented to him ! "

Wow!
My vote is for Samuel Tidmarsh, 59 b Bretforton, who was in Abberton in 1851 with 50-yr-old wife Sarah, three "Sunday scholar" children aged 9, 6 and 5, and 6-month old daughter Elizabeth in 1851: HO107/2045 folio 446 p4.

Seems the most likely - producing a child at 50 is quite impressive (Samuel too !)
Only 4 live children though - you wonder if baby elizabeth survived !

Possibly living with her - possibly just staying the night. Parents Samuel and Sarah were still alive and living in Abberton: RG9/2107 folio 4 p2.

Only inkling for children of his first family are a whole load of submitted entries for christenings of children of a Thomas and susannah, (and then some of Thomas and Sarah) at Nortonbeauchamp, at earlier dates to those we have for his latest family. Looks likely but would need checking out

This reminded me that I once saw a poem written on the death of John HOMES Streton Grendon Hereford 1800 ( he is out on a twig of my tree) This fine chap had 3 children by wife 1 Ann WOOD 14 by wife 2 Ann Pritchard another 3 by wife 4 Susanna Barrett and none by wife 4 another Ann Wood! (the widow Hide) child number 20 arrived when John was 61 If I remember right he was a well known huntsman and councilor wish I could lay my hands on the poem prehaps someone else knows it Trees
