I am new to this so I am sure to have done this all wrong
I am trying to trace a birth record for Benjamin Barnes
The Census records all show he was born in Chipping Ongar in 1810
I have check the Parish Records in our Local records office but there seems to be nothing for 1810 Without this I cant find his parents I cant trace his marriage either bit I suppose not all people did marry
Can this be right Any Idea would be appreciated

I see from the 1851 census that his wife Susannah was born in East Bergholt, Suffolk - have you looked for the marriage there in Parish Records ?
Given oldest daughters age I'd guess it was before Civil Regn ?

I have looked at the parish registers for Thoorington and Colchester as he seemed to move about but No luck yet Guess I will have to go through again But I will try Seax too
