That'll be Corporaition road  parallel to Senhouse street me thinks.  Mother lived in all that area till they got posh and moved to Elizabeth st. In latter years her parents moved back into town behind the Ritz (help - something square?) before moving back down town to blackburn st, senhouse st and then back to me in carlisle.

maternal uncle visited last night - couldn't get him to leave!  He (or his wife) doesn't remember a hunchback particularly but they both remember a little chap playing the accordian outside the Ritz (cinema). That wasn't Teddy was it?
