found a death for a John Sandford in herford
March 1855 herford 6a 417 but Joseph his son was born at this time
xcant be this death if he is the family Bough

in the 1861 Census of George and Selina the family they are living with Weavers the daugher Sarah Ann was also born in burghill 1844

have you noticed the Weavers in 1871 (transcribed "Weare"?
They have a Fanny Lewis 18 b. burghill with them --- didn't we find a lewis connection way back when we were young!!!!!? ?? LOL

Hi yes we did have lewis. but it was harriet whom married Samuel Lewis in 1862 before she married John Sandford.

The name is nothing like sandford, but the names and ages and places seem to match here is what i found in the 1851 , 1861

Ann Baugh aged 29 abt 1822 born Holmer, Hereford
Celina Baugh aged 8 abt 1843 born Burghill
John Baugh aged 7 abt 1844 born Morton on Lugg
George Baugh aged 4 abt 1847 born Moreton on Lugg
Elizabeth Baugh aged 8mtn abt 1850 born Pipe & Lyde, Herefordshire
Thomas Baugh (brother to head) age 36 abt 1815 Marden
1861
John Bough aged 60 abt 1801 born Marden Hereford
Ann Bough aged 40 abt 1821 Canon Pyon, Herefordshire
John Bough aged 18 abt 1843 born Morton on Lugg
Elizabeth aged 10 abt 1851 born Pipe and Lyde, Herefordshire, England

it matched all the children and the parents.

and we know the father was a John by Joseph baptizm

BOUGH Ann (Bromyard 6a 310 Dec 1854)
The district Bromyard spans the boundaries of the counties of Herefordshire, Hereford and Worcester and Worcestershire

and the other strange thing is that the address shown for the bough family in the 1861 is
Burghill and the street is Portway
the sandford family in the 1871 is
Burghill and the street Bags Portway
I found a birth for a Ann Huges born 14 JUN 1818 Holmer, Hereford, and a Marrigefor a Ann Hughes to a John Baugh 04 SEP 1842 St Peter, Hereford, Hereford, England
everything points to it being the same family, but I can not work it out, in the 1871 she is Ann Sandford and all the children are, but she is still a widow.

Can you find birth reg for children
For Selina I can only find a Selina Bough b.1846 hereford
I wonder if John Bough married 2 Anns -or at least married the first -she died and then Ann Sandford became wife/pretend wife?
John died and all of the children took Ann's name???
I can find an Ann Sandford on her own in herefordshire in 1851 -listed as wife???
This is getting interesting!

Looking for Births of the Children..
This has certainly puzzeled me....
I surpose he could have married two Anns and the children took her name but the children would have been older then, strange why they would want to change there names....
Prehaps John the father was a very naughty man, and got into trouble and the family changed there name, but then they seem to be living in the saem street
Yes I saw the Ann Sandford on her own . it is getting interesting.
