Hi

I could someones help please Im trying to find the marriage and children of George Edward Hodges born 1855c Brighton Sussex. George also had a sister Charlotte b 1860 also Brighton. their parents were Edward and Charlotte if any info on these two could be found it would be most appericated

How certain are you that parents were Edward and Charlotte

The only birth reg I can find at that time for George Edward Hodges is

having read your previous posts, I think the family I found in 1861 may be the correct family -and either an error has been made on the census form and the enumerator has entered William instead of Edward -or  (I noticed this family tend to use their middle names) he is William Edward/Edward William?Huh

It looks like some tragedy befell this family

Maybe George Edward (the son) was not the child of Charlotte -maybe Edward/William had been married/widowed before daughter Charlotte was born?Huh

Many thanks for your time on this it's been a great help. Yes you are right about the 1881 census which shows Charlotte with Thomas Hodges Police force this is my family. I agree with you I think I will need to get both certificates to make sure. It would be interesting to find out if Ann Mc Queen seamstress in 1841 census  has any connection. Ive not passed this name before and its always interesting to find out a new family branch
