Poplar - Cotton Street Baptist chapel - c1810-20
« on: Thursday 10 January 08 10:23 GMT (UK) »

I am looking for any information about the Baptist Chapel in Cotton Street Poplar. One of my ancestors was a pastor there and he had children born while he was there. I have not found it in any lists of nonconformist chapels at the records offices. The only thing I have found is a reference to some deeds - and in his obituary.

Thanks for this suggestion. I had googled before but this was a better set of search terms. Most useful look up was British History on-line. This led me to a short history of the chapel which is only available now at the Bristish Library. I shall try both in future for more elusive references.
