Hi Gladys

The only one born in Ramsgate I can find is in the 1841

HO107/469/30/9

William Thorpe age 50 a Mariner, Harriett Thorpe age 20

Living at Preston by Wingham, which comes under Ramsgate

William Thorpe head age 73 b Speldhurst Kent occ ag lab
Elizabeth Thorpe wife age 62 b Leigh Kent
Edward Thorpe son age 21 b Ashurst Kent occ stoker steam engine

All at Penshurst Kent

Hello Sue, William in 1841 census was 50 and his age is a long way off on 1851 but this William age 73 could be a relation so i will keep it and i do thank you ever so much for your kind help. Regards Gladys

Cannot find a baptism for William in Ramsgate, at the main Church of St Lawrence.
Did he marry Mary Wootoon in 1812 in Ramsgate?

Hello Foad Family Kent, Charles Rowley married Kate Dee and her parents were Eliza A Thorpe & Richard Dee and they were married at I of Thanet 1850. Thank you for your post which i appreciate. Regards Gladys.
